  • Today a friend of mine heard back from the General Manager at Woodbine, where he stated poker is not in the plans for any of GCG's Toronto area properties. I believe GCG hates poker, and they will not be spreading it at any of their casinos. Land in Port Perry costs nothing. For them to remove it from that casino is a very, very, very bad sign.
  • It is highly unlikely Woodbine will be getting poker as the owner of the venue also owns Port Perry casino and just removed all poker there as well. The management cares more about money then making a few bucks a day with rake games which sucks:(I used to play at woodbine all the time and the action there was great!

Not sure if the bolded is true. While their properties with small horse racing tracks don't have poker rooms,the full fledge casino properties all do besides one in BC. Since Woodbine is supposed to be developed into a 'full service' casino I'd expect they'd get a poker room too like the GCG owned casinos in British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
